Home Health Services

  • Skilled Nursing - Skilled Nursing is an RN or LPN (under the supervision of an RN) with training and experience in providing care in the home. Services may include evaluation of patient needs as well as performance of a skilled nursing procedure such as dressing change.
  • Physical Therapy - Physical Therapy services are provided by a licensed Physical Therapist or Licensed Physical   Therapist Assistant under the direction of the Physical Therapist. The therapist works to provide the patient with strengthening exercises, increased endurance and mobility, and rehab after surgery.
  • Occupational Therapy - Occupational Therapy services are provided by a licensed Occupational Therapist or Licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant under the direction of the Occupational Therapist. The Occupational Therapist works with the patient to provide improvement with fine motor skills especially with stroke patients.
  • Speech Therapy - Speech Therapy is provided by a Licensed Speech Therapist who helps to improve speech and evaluate the patient's ability to swallow.
  • Home Health Aides - Home Health Aide services are delivered under the supervision of a RN or licensed therapist. Dickenson County Home Health and Hospice Aides are licensed and have been carefully chosen to provide care for the patients of our home health and hospice agency. Our Aides provide duties including bathing, changing bed linens, light house work, and assistance with other activities of daily living.
  • IV Therapy - Home Infusion services are provided by our nurses. Our nurses administer IV medications right in the patient's home.
